Lori Davis is a life long Utah resident, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Westminster College. She is a mother of four boys including a wonderful son who was gender nonconforming as a child. When her son was very young, she thought he might be gay. She was concerned about how to support and protect him from rejection in her conservative Mormon community. She credits Children’s National Medical Center, Washington DC and their online support group with helping educate and support her as she navigated her son’s childhood.
Her early experience with support groups led her to participate in all things Mama Dragons. Having the support of others helps her be brave in her quest to advocate for the LGBTQI community. Lori believes strongly that all children should be celebrated for who they are. Her background in nursing makes her especially interested in protecting their mental health by providing the love and support necessary to not only grow, but to thrive.
